Objectives - detailed

1) The program consists a client data input and saved for future reference, where they may click on the client for future new orders, so there will be no time wasted by continuously imputing data of the clients. Efficiency increased.

2) The program consists a drop down menu next to the client’s data box, where they can choose a list of the different circuit boards when the client is talking to the sales office. This orders box must also include the engineering drawing of the board of the client’s desire, as well as how many the clients want. We will then give the clients an estimate of how long this may take to finish, so the client may give us a deadline for all to be completed.

3) Upon clicking submit, this order form will be kept till after office hours, where it will be compiled, and sent all together to the factory via a server that opens only at a certain time, this is for security reasons and because this is a PCB industry, there might only be a few orders at a time. So instant sending to the factory is not required.

4) The program would save the order forms in a server so if any customer wishes to call to the sales office to question about their orders, the people at the sales office may go through the records and to answer the client’s questions concerning the orders.

5) There can be a print out of some of the details for the head of company to look over, so client’s data, what the orders, and what is needed in what amount of time.

6) The data once sent to the factory, needs to open in a way where the information concerning the boards can be seen without obstructions, it is clear and precise, and the engineering drawings can be sent to the engineers of the factory so they can calibrate the machine to make such a board. To the clients design.

decided

After talking to mr lewis about the 2 different problems above, i have decided to try for the first one
I could use a data list to save the clients that are currently already within the system, and also have a form for the new clients to fill out and to give information about their order and when is it needed by, and we will give their predicted time of completion. and then, this will be saved and sent to the factory by the end of the day. The forms will also be saved by the system so in the event of an angry client, we can take out the order form that was given to us, and to show to the client what it is.
problems - Connecting the sales office and the factory (send order forms)
